How To Get Google To Add Sizes To Gmail

We get emails from users of FindBigMail asking when Google is going to add sizing information to Gmail. The short answer is we don’t know. The longer answer is "when they think it’s the right thing to do."

How can you help move Google towards thinking this is the right thing to do? Great question, the answer is you tell them that’s what you want! Google has a specific page for suggesting what features should be added to Gmail.

That page is here. In the second section titled ‘Organization’ the last entry is ‘Sort messages by size, date, sender, etc.’ and to the right of this there is a ‘Suggest it’ button. We humbly suggest that you click this button (pointed to by an arrow in the image) and tell Google you want sort by size.

Actually I'm wondering if you could add a feature that distinguishes text messages with a message body of certain length in bytes / characters.

For example, I want to find out all messages with a message body content of 500 bytes - 1000 bytes / characters.

Possible?

It's technically feasible.

What problem are you trying to solve? If it is useful to a large class of customers, we'd be interested in doing this.

We're also considering a custom sizing search and label as well.
